Winter Essence for Women
The first snow settles on the peaks, and everything grows still: this yoga retreat at Falkensteiner Hotel Schladming gives women three days for themselves – amid the mountains of the Schladming Tauern, in tune with the qualities of winter.
Woman Yoga, breathwork, meditation, fascia yoga and Deep Rest are devoted entirely to feminine energy and inner balance. Inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, the weekend centres on kidney and bladder energy and the quiet yin energy of winter: withdrawal, regeneration and balance. Alongside this, the qualities of feminine winter – creativity, reflection and the question of how cold can do us good.
The retreat is led by Lisa Stockreiter, yoga and meditation teacher. In a small group, there is space for stillness and genuine connection – a weekend where the phone can wait and your own breath sets the pace.
Programme:
Friday
2.00–4.00 pm: Welcome & introduction to the theme – qualities of winter, TCM, kidney, bladder & yin energy, Somatic Yoga / arriving in the body
6.00–6.30 pm: Guided winter meditation
Saturday
8.00 am: Slow Winter Flow on the kidney and bladder meridian, followed by shared breakfast
3.00–5.30 pm (Workshop + Yoga): Kidney energy as a symbol of stored strength and life essence, rituals for mindfulness in the run-up to Christmas, using the strength of the cold well
Sunday
8.00 am: Fascia yoga + shared breakfast, breathing, presence, Gua Sha
