The town of Hallstatt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the oldest salt mine in the world, over 4,000 years old. Experience an adventurous excursion with slides and salt lakes. A visit to the Dachstein Museum offers a new permanent exhibition on the alpine history and future of the region. The Bruderladenhaus, also known as the Bruderhaus, is a unique architectural monument in Styria. Built in 1661 as a social institution, it served as a hospital and nursing home. After renovation in 1987-1989, it was opened as a museum. The exhibition preserves its historical character and offers fascinating insights into the history of the region.

Wolkenstein Castle is a medieval ruin near Wörschach in the district of Liezen. First mentioned in 1099, it was the second largest fortified castle in Styria. Today, the keep is only preserved as the remains of a wall. A visit offers marvellous views over the Enns Valley and insights into the history of the region.

One of the darkest night skies in Europe awaits you in the Sölktäler Nature Park. Here you can view the Milky Way undisturbed. The area offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the night sky. In addition to the starry sky, the Großsölktal valley to the Sölkpass and the idyllic Schwarzensee lake are also worth a visit. Large parts are designated as a European nature reserve.

Paula Grogger's house in Öblarn is a living memorial that preserves her living quarters in their original state. The poet, born on 12 July 1892, achieved international recognition with works such as ‘Das Grimmingtor’.
