In line with World Vegan Day on November 1, we at Falkensteiner Balance Resort Stegersbach are putting an even stronger culinary focus on plant-based nutrition this month. As a hotel that consciously addresses the issue of sustainability, we already make sure to offer a wide range of delicious vegan dishes. In November, however, we want to turn the tables and make veganism not the alternative on the menu, but the "conventional" diet without meat products and dairy. Why, you ask? Because this lifestyle not only benefits people, animals and the environment, but also offers incredible taste experiences as well, which we don't want to deprive you of!

In addition to these culinary delights, we also offer a month-long exciting program on the subject of veganism and its rich diversity, which will be equally suitable for open-minded newcomers and full-time vegans. Join vegan chef Siegfried Kröpfl in the kitchen and let the vegan nutritionists from "mitbauchgefuehl" inform you about the health benefits. Feast at the Bali Brunch or let extreme alpinist Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner convince you that a plant-based diet also has its place in top-class sport.

SIEGFRIED KRÖPFL

Austria's only vegan chef and multiple cookbook author Siegfried Kröpfl will be a guest at the Balance Resort Stegersbach on 27 November. During his workshop, the Tyrolean-born chef will provide insights into the art of vegan cooking and show how varied, delicious and at the same time easy to prepare plant-based dishes can be.

HANK GE & BALI BRUNCH

With colourful bowls, vitamin-rich finger food and other healthy food creations, Bali Brunch has been bringing the Bali lifestyle to Austria for almost two years. In November, you can enjoy the varied taste of the Indonesian island in the garden restaurant of the Balance Resort.

In addition, Bali Brunch owner, influencer and model Hank Ge will give insights into the vegan lifestyle and plant-based entrepreneurship during his talk. The gastronomic entrepreneur already runs five restaurants in Vienna.

GERLINDE KALTENBRUNNER

The Austrian professional mountaineer was the first woman in the world to reach all 14 eight-thousand-metre peaks without the aid of supplementary oxygen or high altitude support.

In her lecture, she talks about her approach to the inner dimension of mountaineering and reports on her physical and mental preparation, persistent enthusiasm, but also how she deals with setbacks. Besides meditation, her inner gut feeling and the deep connection to nature, plant-based nutrition also plays a central role in Kaltenbrunner's approach.

You can expect an inspiring lecture with very personal impressions.

ANDREAS VOJTA

The professional middle and long-distance runner is a 42-time national champion and Olympic athlete. He has been eating a purely plant-based diet for 3 years. His athletic career impressively proves that a vegan lifestyle and top athletic performance are not mutually exclusive. In his lecture, the Lower Austrian talks about the interplay between sport and nutrition and shares tips and tricks for improving performance during joint running training.

MITBAUCHGEFUEHL

In their lecture, vegan dieticians Cora Sommer and Verena Lang explain the health benefits of a plant-based diet. What do you have to watch out for, which nutrients are particularly important and how can you make the switch easily? These and many other questions will be explored by the two.
