Guided tour of the Steiner1888 loden manufactory

From raw wool to finished loden: discover how a long-standing craft lives on in Mandling.

Loden has been made in Mandling since 1888, today by the fifth generation of the Steiner family. A 3D film sets the scene, then a guide takes you through every stage of wool processing to the finished fabric. The highlight is the historic hammer fulling mill, where the original Schladminger loden is still made. Touch stations, short films, and headphones bring the craft to life for all ages.

Afterwards, browse the three-floor shop or relax in the café.
