WÖRTHERSEE

In winter, the beautiful Wörthersee presents itself from its quiet, contemplative side. Its picturesque view, surrounded by snow-covered treetops and white mountain peaks, invites you to take long walks along the shore. At dusk, when clouds of mist settle over the lake, a mystical atmosphere can often be experienced. In the evening, the glittering lights of the Christmas illuminations dance on the surface of the water, while the scent of mulled wine wafts from the small huts of the Advent markets. Sporty guests can look forward to numerous ski resorts nearby. Ice skating, tobogganing, winter hiking or wellness is also possible in many places.

NASSFELD

The winter paradise Nassfeld is home to Carinthia's largest ski area, which has over 110 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes and can boast some of the most hours of sunshine in the Alpine region. Floodlit slopes, snow park, freeride area and obstacles offer ski and snowboard lovers special action. Those who prefer to spend the idyllic winter in a more relaxed way can enjoy snow-covered landscapes in all their splendor. Whether cross-country skiing or snowshoeing through powdery snow - the clear mountain air and the incomparable panorama invigorate body and soul. Families create precious memories while building snowmen and tobogganing, whereas those seeking relaxation can really recharge their batteries with wellness.

KATSCHBERG

With its 16 lifts and 70 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes, the Katschberg ski area is one of the leading ski regions in Carinthia. Masses of snow, beautiful landscapes and the alpine panorama allow not only fast turns and wonderful descents - rustic ski huts and the Katschberger Adventweg prepare the guests a winter experience 'like back then'. To go with it, you can take part in guided torchlight hikes or a horse-drawn sleigh ride on site. On the other hand, if you prefer to be active and work off your energy with cross-country skiing or snowshoe hiking, you can look forward to soothing regeneration with a wellness meal afterwards.
