Anyone who has always wanted to go high is in the best of hands on the Pyramidenkogel! At almost 100 metres, the impressive structure is the world's tallest wooden observation tower and allows an incredible 360° view over Carinthia. For adrenaline junkies, there are also two exciting alternatives to descending via the spiral staircase: the 120-metre-long spiral adventure slide or – for the truly fearless – the flying fox, sailing across 70 metres to reach the ground.

Through 35 kilometres of the heart of Carinthia's Nock Mountains runs the Nockalm Road – a dream of a mountain road that stretches like a curved line through a unique landscape. The panoramic tour, with its gentle curves and lookout points, is a sensational experience for bikers in particular, and classic car enthusiasts can often be found on the track as well. Off of the Nockalm Road, there are many walking and hiking trails for those who prefer to explore the breathtaking area on foot.

In the Tressdorfer Alm demonstration dairy, you can follow along the production process from fresh milk to finished cheese and dairy products. It offers great insights, the likes of which can rarely be had today. Open every day in the summer from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free entry for Kärnten Card holders.

In the Bachmann's salmon smokehouse, you can immerse yourself in the world of smoked salmon and taste the house products together with a delicious glass of "salmon wine" and another of Winzersekt, and enjoy the culinary delights. Groups of 8 or more by appointment.

For those interested in culture, the Gailtaler Museum in Möderndorf Castle is a real must. There you will find the interesting Georg Essl collection, and you can also follow the trail of history and trace the development of the castle.

The Geopark in Dellach offers the perfect opportunity to catch a glimpse into the world of the dinosaurs. Here you will also find various geotrails that contain numerous traces from ancient times, which have already attracted visitors from all over the world. Guided tours: by appointment, minimum 5 people.

The 1.5 km long Aqua Trail adventure hiking trail offers plenty of action and fun. Enjoy the great view while the children linger by the various fountains and the many other kinds of play equipment. You can also learn all kinds of things about nature at Nassfeld and, if you like, you can whiz down the mountain on the summer toboggan run at the end.
 

Whether you prefer quiet moments or action, you will find both at Lake Pressegger. The multi-faceted lake offers numerous quiet spots where you can enjoy the unique natural surroundings. You can also experience surfing, fishing, stand-up paddling and much more at Lake Pressegger. The lake's unique flora and fauna is well protected by the tall belt of reeds and offers wonderful views.

In the heart of nature, you will find the natural baths of Radnig and Vorderberg, where you can enjoy peace and the natural world. There is plenty of action for kids in the family-friendly pools: great playgrounds and sports facilities are waiting for you to ensure you have an unforgettable day.

At 40,000 m², Steinlabyrinth Kletterparadies is the most popular outdoor adventure park in the area. In addition to climbing up rock towers and through the climbing garden, a ride on the flying fox is a real highlight. You begin at the Tesseldorfer Alm midway station on the Millennium Express gondola. Individuals and families can visit the climbing park without prior registration.

An action-packed rafting tour, canyoning, kayaking tour or a more leisurely family boat trip is the perfect way to explore the unique side of nature and the water world. You will reach the starting point of the tours in only 10 minutes by car. Once you arrive, you will be fitted out with equipment and begin your trip along the Gail. Let yourself be carried away by the flow of the river and captivated by the wonderful natural setting.

Lake Pressegger is the best place to share your passion for fishing. The healthy fish population brought about by the high quality of the water makes for the best conditions for every angler.

The Pendolino summer toboggan run hurtles down the mountainside. In curve after curve, around 400 metres of altitude are covered over a distance of around two kilometres. From the Madritsche mountain station on Millennium Express cable car to the Tressdorfer Alm midway station. This makes the summer toboggan run the longest in Carinthia – and a special treat for the whole family. Children can ride unassisted from the age of seven. Younger children must travel with their parents. Open June-September.

Hardly anyone can resist the turquoise water and the idyllic landscape around Lake Weissensee.

Coordination exercises with elements made of wood and ropes await in the Adventure Park Katschberg. The more than 200 stations offer variety for young and old, and the flying fox park is a clear highlight in Carinthia's largest high ropes course.

At the Ponyalm, children can experience, observe, stroke and ride the colourful variety of ponies. Take a carriage ride from the Katschberghöhe to the Pritzhütte and enjoy the highest riding school in Austria. Learn to ride in Katschberg - everyone is welcome, whether children or adults, beginners, hobby riders or returning riders. We will be happy to arrange your riding lessons at reception. In addition, a hike through the Carinthian and Salzburg mountains offers unforgettable experiences.

Katschhausen is an excursion destination worth seeing in summer in the Katschberg holiday region. The children's adventure world tells the story of the Katschlinge, and natural spectacles are playfully explained and puzzles solved at the playground. A puzzle booklet for children is available at the Katschberg and Rennweg tourist offices and at the Alpine Horse Centre. The little ones solve exciting puzzles with the Katschling family and receive a small surprise as a reward at the tourist office.

Experience a natural play trail for children with an adventure hike and fun stops to test their skills. Fun with animals for the whole family awaits you in the town.

Start a day full of exciting sporting activities with a ride on the Aineck chair lift up the Katschberg mountain.
