Martinmas Goose in Southern Burgenland

When the golden autumn light settles over the rolling hills of Southern Burgenland and the days draw gently to a close, it's time for one of the region's most cherished traditions: the Martinmas goose. Throughout November, Restaurant IMAGO prepares it to order at any time – roasted until crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and just right for indulgent autumn evenings.

Freshly Prepared to Order
So that your goose can be freshly prepared for you, we kindly ask that you pre-order by 8 pm the evening before. The goose is served at an additional charge.

Martinmas in Burgenland
On 11 November, Burgenland celebrates its patron saint, St Martin. To mark the occasion, a festive goose menu awaits you as part of your half-board. If you wish, it can be paired with selected wines from Southern Burgenland (at an additional charge).

Non-Resident Guests Welcome
You don't need to stay overnight to enjoy the goose at IMAGO – guests from outside the resort are warmly welcome too. Our reception team will be delighted to take your table reservation and pre-order.
