For our guests, we offer a selection of curated weekly programmes throughout the year, designed to experience with us the rhythm of the Carnic mountains, the people, and the joy of indulgence - together with a range of selected producers and partners.
You arrive whenever you like - and stay, because you want to.
Producers & Partners
Watschiger Alm
Elisabeth Buchacher & Team
Elisabetz Buchacher is the Sennerin (alpine dairywoman) of the Watschiger Alm, at the foot of the Gartnerkofel and surrounded by the peaks of the Carnic Alps - one of the most beautiful spots to soak up the morning and midday sun on the terrace and take a well-deserved break after the first kilometres in the mountains.
Together with her team, she tends the cows throughout the summer, and as chairwoman of the Gailtal Alpine Cheese Association she is not just a figurehead but a proud representative of a craft that keeps the tradition of cheesemaking alive and passes it on.
Peintner Hof, Retreat Farm
Andrea Unterguggenberger & Dr. Georg Lexer
At Peintner Hof, in the Lesachtal, hospitality isn't just a value on paper - it's a way of life. Organic farmer Andrea Unterguggenberger and her husband, Dr. Georg Lexer, show their guests every day how living in rhythm with nature and animals brings out the best for both. Quality of life, health, recreation and healing are on the daily programme.
As one of the keepers of the Lesachtal bread-baking tradition, Andrea is a pioneer of an original, authentic way of life that sustainably takes only what nature provides.
Her motto: medicine that comes from the kitchen.
Herb Witch, Herbal Educator
Klara Obernosterer
A meadow is never just a meadow - Klara, the self-proclaimed herb witch from the Lesachtal, knows this better than anyone.
She cultivates, gathers and processes herbs, grasses and flowers from the local nature, drawing on her knowledge and understanding of their healing powers. The result: teas, tinctures and balms that have earned her loyal, long-standing customers and enthusiastic recommendations. She is also the producer of the Viva la Carnica ® tea blend, available for purchase at the hotel.
Tröpolacher Alm
The Jenul Family
Christian, Alexandra and their family don't just run the Tröpolacher Alm - they are an active part of this wonderful spot at 1,668m above sea level in the Carnic Alps, with the best views over the Nassfeld and the Gailtal.
Whether as the finish or the start of an extensive hike, for an alpine breakfast with bread and butter, homemade Gailtal bacon and cheese, and scrambled eggs, or for a sundowner while petting the farm's own kid goats - a trip like this is, and remains, unforgettable.
It can be reached on foot, by bike or by car.
