Wine tasting

On 3rd of March, we invite you to an elegant wine tasting at Falkensteiner Hotel Schladming, featuring the renowned Regele wine estate from Southern Styria.

Founded in 1830, the Regele family winery is today run by Georg and Ingrid Regele together with their son Franz. Around 18 hectares of vineyards are cultivated with great care and harvested exclusively by hand. Distinguished sites such as Oberglanzberg, Sulz and the historic Zoppelberg—first documented in the 13th century—form the foundation of the winery’s expressive and authentic wines.

While deeply rooted in tradition, the estate also embraces innovation. Franz Regele, trained at the renowned Klosterneuburg Wine School, combines proven methods with modern approaches. His work includes ageing wines in amphorae and concrete eggs, as well as cultivating fungus-resistant PIWI grape varieties such as Souvignier Gris. Sustainability and respectful interaction with nature remain central to every step of the process.
