Experience the nature of South Tyrol

A hiking holiday in South Tyrol with the entire family will make your summer in the mountains unforgettable. South Tyrol and its varied nature have lots to offer in a way that will amaze and invite children and adults alike to explore. Experience the beauty of South Tyrol with your family and explore it on a family-friendly hike through the mountains.

South Tyrol has many outdoor activities to offer families with children. Countless tours start off in the vicinity of the hotel and are easily reachable by car. Educational walks, such as a walk to the Latschenbrennerei or the Roman Stone Circle, can be started right at the hotel – many with prams also available.

For an easy family hike to the typical Alpine huts, we recommend an excursion to the Pertinger Alm, Astnerberg Alm, or the Moarhof Alm. Experienced hikers will enjoy our local mountain, the Astjoch, with its breath-taking year-round view or the high plateau of the Rodenecker Alm, which is also a lot of fun for the kids.

Hiking in South Tyrol is an experience for all senses. The natural spectacle of the Dolomites, with its Three Peaks, the Fannes-Sennes-Prags nature park, as well as the Rieserferner-Ahrn and Naturpark Puez-Geisler nature parks will give your family hike a unique background.

Woody Walk

An adventure path with numerous attractive games and rest stations is waiting for guests in the Plose area, near Brixen, and is ideal for family hikes. This hiking trail is even accessible for prams.

The Klausberg is our special tip for families in the summer. Besides the 60 km of hiking trails for hikers it offers a Water World, a Dinoland, and Italy’s longest Alpine roller coaster, the “Klausberg-Flitzer” toboggan run.

Lake Prags & Lake Antholz

Lake Prags, the pearl of the lakes of the Dolomites, along Lake Antholz in the Rieserferner-Ahrn nature park are pure gifts of nature and form an incomparable panorama for your family photos.

Waterfalls Rein in Taufers

Three impressive waterfalls and wonderful gorges that are easily accessible on foot via a small forest trail. This excursion is the perfect alternative, especially on hot summer days.
