Weingut Jauk-Wieser – Schilcher Culture with a View
At the foot of Deutschlandsberg Castle, nestled in the gentle hills of Western Styria, lies Weingut Jauk-Wieser. On approximately 3.5 hectares, the Jauk-Wieser family cultivates their vineyards in Burgegg and Wildbachberg – with a special focus on the region’s flagship variety, Schilcher, as well as Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat.
The south-facing slopes and basin sites offer ideal conditions for aromatic, varietal wines in the classic Styrian style – dry, fruit-forward, and full of character. In the cellar, Norbert – a career changer and self-taught winemaker – brings his personal touch, while Monika and daughter Lisa-Maria – a former Styrian Wine Queen – tend the vineyards with dedication.
