Wine tasting with the Schloss sommelier

Come with us on a tasting journey from France, over the Rheingau into the Tuscany - our sommelier talks you through some very special tipples and would be delighted to entertain you in our wine cellar or at the Salons Restaurant & Atelier.

Picnic cruise on the Wörthersee

Relish in the magnificent view over the lake across the whole day and enjoy the anticipation of experiencing it up close. We would be delighted to organise a personal picnic cruise on the Wörthersee with the hotel’s private motor boat or at one of the many wonderful locations around the lake.

Breathtaking views from the Pyramid Hill

On the top of the Pyramidenkogel hill, 851 metres above sea level, stands the highest wooden observation tower in the world. Just a few minutes away from the Schlosshotel, you can soak in the views over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Adventurers and their guests will especially enjoy the flying fox that runs down from the Pyramid Hill. Our tip: we would be happy to organise a boat transfer to the Schloss by request, or a very special snack on the Pyramid Hill.

Autumn or snowshoe hiking on the Dobratsch

Ideal for anyone who wants to feel the snow under their feet and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Whether it’s up a mountain, around a lake or through a valley: a journey of discovery with snow shoes through Kärnten’s landscapes is an enjoyable teambuilding exercise.

Fire and flame at the Glühwein hut

When the sun slowly sets over Lake Wörthersee in Advent, the crackling camp fire at the Glühwein hut in front of the Schlosshotel lights up and welcomes you and your guests to a warming, traditional Feuerzangenbowle. Roast your marshmallows and await your crispy baguette while Christmas music plays merrily in the background. We would be delighted to welcome you afterwards for a meat or cheese fondue in the Salons restaurant and studio, and to round it all off with fine wines from our sommelier.

Ski tour/skiing area

Experience the Alps’ biggest sun terrace and enjoy kilometre after kilometre of piste-based pleasure in Kärnten. Whether you’d prefer one of the six surrounding ski areas or a skiing tour through the snow, the unique view of the snow-covered Kärnten mountains awaits you.  The Glühweinhütte in front of the Schlosshotel is waiting to greet you for that last drink following a successful day in December and welcomes you and your participants beside the crackling camp fire.
