The right bank of the Danube, rediscovered – Josef Fischer shows you what Rossatz tastes like.
Katja and Josef Fischer farm their estate in Rossatz organically and are currently transitioning to biodynamics. Spontaneous fermentation, barrel ageing, unfiltered – the wines are crafted with as little intervention as possible, allowing sites like Kirnberg, Kreuzberg and Mugler to speak for themselves. The cool influence of the Dunkelsteinerwald and the presence of the Danube leave a clear mark on the character of Fischer's Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
