Traditional Cheese Festival
Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere within the historic castle walls at the Cheese Festival. Discover high-quality cheeses, including the protected “Ennstaler Steirerkas” certified by the EU (PDO), offered at numerous market stalls. Steirerkas is known for its spicy aroma and unique crumbly texture — perfect for Steirerkasnock’n, Steirerkasbrot, Steirerkrapfen, or as a delicious ingredient in soups and spreads. Pair your tasting with a glass of Austrian wine or a sip of “Sturm” — perfect for the autumn season.
Starting at 10 AM, enjoy a varied program with traditional folk music. Look forward to the presence of the “Cheese Princesses,” an exhibition at the Nature Park House, and a raffle with great prizes.
