The foundation stone of the company was laid in 1957 by Maria and Josef Falkensteiner, who opened a small guest house in the Puster Valley in South Tyrol. By now, their two sons, Andreas and Erich Falkensteiner, together with Otmar Michaeler, share the management of the company. 60 years later, the Falkensteiner Hotels and Residences have grown into one of the most successful family-run vacation hotel groups in Central Europe. The FMTG comprises 30 hotels, apartments and residences in six countries and provides jobs for over 2,000 employees.

Values & Visions
We at Falkensteiner continuously strive for innovation, but always keep our roots in mind. From this mission statement, four values have been developed which are characteristic for our brand.

Hungry for success
We are constantly working on improving ourselves to achieve our ambitious goals.

Down-to-earth
We regard the company as one big family and convey this personal, friendly feeling to the outside world. We attach particular importance to our roots.

Brave
We never shy away from challenges, follow our curiosity and want to live up to our pioneering role with continuous performance.

Strong in relationships
We put the needs and well-being of our counterpart first in every respect - this applies to our guests as well as the working atmosphere at Falkensteiner. Our strong bond is built on trust.
Our goal is to become the leading leisure hotel group in Central and Southeast Europe.
We are constantly working on this - among other things - by offering our guests experiences for their individual phases of life and travel motives. The spectrum includes relaxing spa and pleasure vacations, the club holiday on the seaside as well as active vacations in the mountains – no matter the season. With our (Eastern European) city hotels we even offer culturally interested city vacationers the suitable framework for their trips.
We want our guests to feel our award-winning quality in every hotel, from the moment they arrive until the last moment of their stay. We attach great importance to active guest care, first-class cuisine with a regional focus, extensive wellness and water worlds and our beneficial Acquapura SPA wellness program. A wide range of activities and loving child care are additional bonuses for a carefree vacation experience.
We are to be defined as a hotel group that has a diverse portfolio of individual hotels and wants to make the typical Falkensteiner experience possible at different locations. This characteristic is due to the fact that we do not want to market ourselves as a standardized hotel chain, but rather offer our guests - despite a large number of hotels - a little bit of individuality with a local touch in all our destinations. Thus, as a family-run hotel group, we combine the advantages of the individual hotel business with those of a hotel chain. Therefore, the assurance of uniform quality standards is fundamental.
Active guest care
We want to offer our guests magic moments while they are with us. This includes actively approaching them and suggesting tailor-made experiences.
South Tyrolean Spirit
We combine the highest quality standards with Mediterranean joie de vivre and a relaxed, personal approach to our guests.
Culinary delights
In all our destinations we offer enjoyable culinary delights at a high level.
Spa & Fitness
Each of our hotels has fitness areas, sports facilities and Acquapura SPAS.
