THE BICYCLE PATHS OF THE PUSTERTAL VALLEY: IDEAL FOR FAMILIES
The bicycle paths of the Pustertal Valley turn every family cycling tour into a special enjoyment. The bike path between Rio Pusteria and Lienz in East Tyrol offers easy tours ideal for families with kids, as well as more challenging ones for athletes and mountain bikers.
The best thing at it: You will find direct access to the bicycle path in front of our Family Hotel Lido Ehrenburgerhof. Picturesque meadows, woods and cornfields surround the bike path. Discover the incredible beauty of the South Tyrolean landscape during funny bike tours with your family.
Parallel to the cycle path runs the train route. So, if you are tired of cycling just take the train back to the hotel. Thanks to the Holidaypass Premium people drive for free. You only have to pay the transport for your bicycle.
The bicycle path of the Pustertal Valley consists of 3 stages:
- from Rio Pusteria to Brunico: 25,5 km
- from Brunico to San Candido: 33,5 km
- from San Candido to Lienz in East Tyrol: 44 km
MOUNTAIN BIKE TOURS IN THE PUSTERTAL VALLEY
The mountains of the Pustertal Valley are a famous meeting point for sport lovers, especially mountain bikers. Beginners as well as professionals, downhillers and freeriders will find the ideal trail. For example, the downhill trail “Herrensteig” at Kronplatz: It’s a difficult one for freeride-professionals. The ascent is with the Kronplatz cable car from Riscone. The trail has a length of 8 km and an altitude difference of 1.800 meters. Pure adrenaline is guaranteed!
