Altsteirer Kirtag
Experience authentic Styrian tradition at the Altsteirer Kirtag in Gröbming – a festive event for all ages with music, local crafts, and regional cuisine.
Friday, August 1 – Kirtag Night
From 6:00 PM: Live folk music by HeSiMi Musi, regional specialties, and traditional “Kirtag bowling” with wooden pins and ball (starts at 7:00 PM).
Saturday, August 2 – Kirtag Day
From 10:00 AM: Traditional beer tapping and morning concert with the Gröbming brass band. Followed by children’s dance performance (Freistoana), four local “Bradlpartien,” face painting, stream hike (from 11:00 AM), and market stands with regional products, crafts, and the famous “Kirtag bacon.”
