75th Nassfeld “Kirchtag” Festival
The traditional Nassfeld Kirchtag celebrates its 75th edition this year – a heartfelt festival of friendship between Austria and Italy at the border near Nassfeld.
Programme:
- 10:00 am: Gathering of Austrian and Italian guests in front of Albergo da Livio
- 10:15 am: Joint festive parade to the memorial chapel with the traditional bands of Wulfenia and Pontebba, regional folk groups, and representatives from the Austrian Alpine Club and Club Alpino Italiano
- 10:30 am: Bilingual ecumenical church service with wreath-laying ceremony
Followed by:
Traditional festivities hosted by the Nassfeld innkeepers with live music by TK Wulfenia and Klaus Krieber, plus culinary delights from both sides of the border: Kirchtag soup, wild game stew, salsiccia with polenta, Gailtaler Almkäse (PDO) and more.
For younger guests: bouncy castle and face painting.
