Falkensteiner Hotel Bad Leonfelden sources 100% green electricity, complemented by its own photovoltaic system. The hotel grounds also feature dedicated areas for native plants and insects.
Sustainability at Falkensteiner
Together for a sustainable future
Sustainability is a core part of our corporate strategy and our understanding of hospitality. At all our locations, we work on the same ecological focus areas: energy, water, biodiversity, waste and resources – as well as our role as host, employer and economic partner to the regions we operate in. We publish our progress in these areas – including our group-wide greenhouse gas balance – every year in the FMTG Sustainability Report (see below). How each property implements these focus areas depends individually on its location, building and region.
Austrian Ecolabel & EU Ecolabel
Falkensteiner Hotel Bad Leonfelden is certified with the Austrian Ecolabel UZ 200 (accommodation and catering establishments) and the EU Ecolabel (AT/051/279). The entire hotel operation was audited and certified – from energy and water to waste, procurement and the kitchen.
Transparency & Reporting
Transparent communication about what has been achieved so far is important to us. You can find out more about the group-wide ESG strategy of the Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG) and specific measures in our current FMTG Sustainability Report at https://www.fmtg.com/en/responsibility/
