Katschberg's stream adventure trail takes families on an exciting journey of discovery through nature.

A scavenger hunt with a GPS device ensures a varied day for explorers of nature in the Katschberg region. A GPS device can be obtained at the Aineck valley station, and the first coordinates are available at the mountain station.

The Katschhausen Adventure World offers a petting zoo, playgrounds and a paint workshop to make kid's hearts beat faster.

The horse-drawn sleigh or carriage ride to the Pritzhütte lodge provides romance and delicious food all year round.

The journey on the electric-choo-choo-train through the Pöllatal Nature Reserve takes you through a picturesque landscape.

Groups are requested to pre-book. Departing from the P1 parking lot/barbecue area at the lower Pöllatal valley, the train travels to the upper Pöllatal valley.

The Card entitles you to free or discounted admission to numerous excursion destinations, natural wonders, attractions, museums, pools, and lifts throughout Katschberg. This Card is valid during your summer holidays at the Falkensteiner Resort Katschberg. You will receive the Destination Card directly at the reception.

The digital companion “Falky-Katschberg-Guide” provides you with an interactive holiday planner which contains cycling, hiking and mountain tours, in addition to topographical hiking maps of the entire region. All tours contain detailed information like key facts, distance, cumulative height difference and duration, description of the route, and the elevation profile. 

Coordination exercises with elements made of wood and ropes await in the Adventure Park Katschberg. The more than 200 stations offer variety for young and old, and the flying fox park is a clear highlight in Carinthia's largest high ropes course.

Start a day full of exciting sporting activities with a ride on the Aineck chair lift up the Katschberg mountain.

Dogs and bikes cannot be carried for safety reasons.

At the Ponyalm, children can experience, observe, stroke and ride the colourful variety of ponies. Take a carriage ride from the Katschberghöhe to the Pritzhütte and enjoy the highest riding school in Austria. Learn to ride in Katschberg - everyone is welcome, whether children or adults, beginners, hobby riders or returning riders. We will be happy to arrange your riding lessons at reception. In addition, a hike through the Carinthian and Salzburg mountains offers unforgettable experiences.

The new summer toboggan run is sheltered from the wind and sunny, in the same area as the ski school's practice slope. Interactivity is front and centre: at Katschi's Goldfahrt spectators along the adventure toboggan run are also included in the fun. Here you can make "Gontal" laugh by hitting a buzzer or make a deer roar from a high chair. Of course there is plenty of space around the toboggan run to spectate and relax. Cozy heart-shaped benches and heart plateaus invite you to relax and unwind. Here, young prospectors can ride the toboggan alone from the age of 7 (younger visitors can ride only with supervision).

Experience a natural play trail for children with an adventure hike and fun stops to test their skills. Fun with animals for the whole family awaits you in the town.

Katschhausen is an excursion destination worth seeing in summer in the Katschberg holiday region. The children's adventure world tells the story of the Katschlinge, and natural spectacles are playfully explained and puzzles solved at the playground. A puzzle booklet for children is available at the Katschberg and Rennweg tourist offices and at the Alpine Horse Centre. The little ones solve exciting puzzles with the Katschling family and receive a small surprise as a reward at the tourist office.

A trip to the Ponyalm horse center sees happy children on the back of a pony, learning a bit of horse knowledge and spending some time at the water play area.
