In the heart of the Pyhrn-Priel region, right at the Höss mid-station.
The Falkensteiner Residences Triforet are located at 1,410 m, around 8 km from the village centre, amid the mountains of Upper Austria. The final kilometres wind along a scenic panoramic road leading directly to the Höss mid-station. Alternatively, the cable car takes you comfortably from the valley station in Hinterstoder straight up to us – relaxed and without detours.
Take the Hinterstoder/St. Pankraz exit from the Pyhrn motorway (A9) and turn left. At the next opportunity, turn left again towards Hinterstoder. After 550 metres within the village, turn left onto Panoramastraße Hinterstoder just before the Gasthof Jaidhaus – from there, signposts lead directly to the Falkensteiner Residences Hinterstoder.
The final 9.5 km lead along the paved Panoramastraße, a toll road. In winter, snow chains are mandatory on this stretch – even for all-wheel-drive vehicles. If you arrive between 7 am and noon, the toll staff will open the barrier for you directly. For later arrivals, purchase a ticket (€14.50) at the vending machine, which you can present at reception for a refund.
In summer, the Panoramastraße is accessible free of charge with the Pyhrn-Priel AktivCard. Apply for the card before arrival via the Franzi app: two days before arrival, you'll receive a pre-check-in email, and on the day of arrival the AktivCard is activated directly in the app.
Free outdoor parking is available directly in front of the building. Underground garage spaces can be booked on request for €20 per night, some with EV charging stations.
A vignette (toll sticker) is mandatory on Austrian motorways and expressways. It is available at around 6,000 sales points or digitally via the ASFINAG toll shop.
The most convenient way to reach us is via Linz Airport (80 km), Salzburg (150 km), Graz (150 km), Vienna (270 km) or Munich (300 km). You can book an airport transfer directly through our partner Riedler Reisen.
The nearest major train station is in Linz, from where you can reach Hinterstoder station in just over an hour. Bus line 431 continues on to the village centre, 11 km away. From there, the Hössbahn cable car – free of charge in summer with the Pyhrn-Priel AktivCard – or a fee-based shuttle will take you directly to the Falkensteiner Residences Hinterstoder.
