Tröpolach, Hermagor – Pressegger See – Nassfeld Region
Every October, the village of Tröpolach comes alive with music, tradition, and local flavour. The Kirchtag is a beloved celebration filled with festive rituals, live bands, regional food, and a strong sense of community. From blessings and parades to dancing and games, there’s something for all ages.
Programme Highlights:
Saturday, 18 October
- 2:00 PM: Traditional opening with festive firecracker salute
- 2:30 PM: Blessing ceremony
Sunday, 19 October
- 8:45 AM: Festive church service
- Afterwards: Traditional performances at the village square with the Wulfenia brass band
- From 11:00 AM: Live music & local delicacies at the festival tent
- From 1:00 PM: Afternoon dancing with “Bergler Musi”
- From 4:00 PM: Lively tunes by the “VolxKrocha”
Monday, 20 October
- 9:00 AM: Morning mass, wreath-laying and traditional singing at the church square
- 12:00 PM: Traditional group visits around the village
- From 8:00 PM: Grand finale at the “Kuhstall” (Gasthof Winkler) with “Die Jungen Gailtaler”
Tuesday, 21 October
- Afternoon: Family fun with games like sack races and pot-smashing
