Summer Solstice in the Montafon
On Saturday 19 June 2027, solstice fires light up the mountains of the Montafon.
From 9 pm the ridges around the valley are marked out by Sonnwendfeuer, a custom that has been kept alive in the Montafon for generations.
The fires are visible from many points in the valley and are best watched from a viewpoint or a mountain railway station. For families it is one of the most memorable evenings of the Montafon summer.
