Beautiful Fane Alpine Village near Falkensteiner Hotels

Fane Alpine Village

The Fanealm can be found above Mühlbach in the Valser Valley in the Fundres mountains. The most beautiful alpine village is an ideal destination for outings both in summer and in winter. Residential huts, hay huts, a small church and three alpine taverns – around 30 buildings in total - make up the idyllic Fane Alm. Fane Alm was built in the Middle Ages as a hospital for plague. In the summer months, the road to the Fanealm is closed due to the high volume of traffic. You can hike up the Milchweg road or take the shuttle bus from the car park.

The eastern part of the hike is laid out in stages. The Seekofel is beautifully reflected in the lake.
