Long Night of the Cable Car with Partial Solar Eclipse
On Wednesday, 12 August 2026, the Valisera cable car in St. Gallenkirch opens its doors for a special evening event combining technology, nature and live music. Guests can ride the gondola at night, discover the inner workings of a mountain cable car, enjoy a drone show, and watch the sunset from the mountain station with live music and refreshments at the Valisera Hüsli. At the valley station Markthalle, live entertainment runs from 18:00 to 23:00. The partial solar eclipse makes this evening a rare natural spectacle not to be missed. Cable car rides and entry are free of charge; the last upward journey departs at 21:30.
