Lake Antholz is a jewel. The mountain lake lies at an altitude of 1,642 m above sea level and enchants in the warm season with its turquoise-green water and its location amidst the wonderful mountains of the Rieserferner Ahrn Nature Park. All this makes it one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Pustertal valley. A must in summer: the walk around the lake (approx. 1 hour), in winter you can go cross-country skiing and hiking here - even across the frozen lake with an overwhelming view of the Rieserferner mountain range.

Cross-country skiing starter lesson in the South Tyrol Arena
Antholz is mentioned in the same breath as the other great biathlon venues in the world and is the biathlon and cross-country skiing mecca par excellence. If you have never tried cross-country skiing, we recommend a trial lesson in the largest winter sports centre in the country, the Südtirol Arena. Here, the cross-country skiing trails are equipped for every level: for beginners as well as for the world's best biathletes.
