Located on the south side of the Alps at 1,600 m above sea level, the Falkensteiner Hotel Cristallo gets hours and hours of sunshine every winter and offers optimal snow conditions for winter sports of all kinds.
The most important thing to remember when skiing is to have fun, so you shouldn’t get bogged down just by having to carry your skis around. Which is why we offer in-house ski rentals and a ski school for the youngest of our future ski stars. Aside from 70 km of well-prepared slopes and some brand new lifts in the Katschberg-Aineck ski area, you can also enjoy the landscape of Hohe Tauern and Nockberge National Park, featuring fantastic panoramic views. Downhill skiers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers and fans of horse-drawn sleigh rides will find exactly what they’re looking for during the day at Katschberg.

And afterwards at our family hotel we offer relaxation for young and old alike – with separate SPA worlds for kids and adults. Grown-ups can enjoy the Acquapura SPA with carefully selected essences – mainly from the local Alpine region – and the little ones can take a sauna, splash around or try out wellness in the first children’s SPA in the Alps, Falky Children’s SPA.

Now an even quicker way to get to the Hotel Cristallo
After 40 years of waiting, the second tube of the Tauern Tunnel opened in the summer! The A10 motorway now has four lanes all the way from Salzburg to Villach and its tunnels have two tubes. For Austria and other countries, this will mean a major improvement in the flow of traffic on one of the most important north-south routes in Europe.
