Winter hiking

snow-covered South Tyrol

Terento is also blessed with many hours of sun in the winter, which makes winter hiking a true joy. The snow-covered landscape around Terento invites visitors to discover South Tyrol on foot. Whether on snowshoes, in winter boots, or on a toboggan – whatever you decide for yourself, the winter in South Tyrol is sure to enchant you.

Snowshoe hiking

Snowshoe hikers enjoy the same privilege as ski tourists. They decide on their route themselves and make their own trail through the fresh snow. From Terento, you have destinations and mountain peaks in all directions, away from the hustle and bustle of the pistes. This is where you can take a deep breath, become more aware of yourself and your surroundings, and enjoy the stunning panoramas.

Once a week we accompany our guests on guided snowshoe hikes. You can rent snowshoes at our Hotel & Spa Sonnenparadies.

Winter hiking

Even in the winter, the prepared hiking trails allow for extended walks or hikes through the snowy landscape of South Tyrol. You can even take your toboggan with you on some of the hikes and enjoy a fun downhill toboggan run.

Tobogganing

Tobogganing is the perfect winter sport for all those winter grouches. Terento has several popular toboggan runs. Once you’ve arrived on the top, you’ll be rewarded with a hut with delicious food, and the panorama alone is worth all the trouble. Moonlight tobogganing in the dark of the night, when only the moon and headlamps show you the way to the hut, is a very special experience. As part of our winter activity programme, we also accompany our guests into the mountains for tobogganing.
