Do you take the chance to go to career fairs? We do! Because we can perfectly represent the company as future employer and get in touch with potential candidates. Especially during autumn a lot of fairs take place, such as the “Mein Karrieretag” fair by Hotelcareer in the Hilton Hotel Vienna. But we are not only on site in Austria, but also in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Italy or Croatia. Career events take particularly place in schools and universities, such as the Career Day of the Ecole Hôtelière in Lausanne.

Our fair stand
What do you we take with us at a fair? Career folder, roll-ups, company presentations,… everything you need to represent Falkensteiner properly. Of course treats cannot be missing, at our stand there are not only the typical pens but lovely branded sweets as well.
Why the effort?
Exhibiting at a fair does not mean that we will find immediately a suitable candidate for an open position. The objective is to present the company as possible future employers and to provide a face to those interested. It is important to get across what differentiates us from other employer and give information about the development possibilities.
The personal contact is a solid basis to appear more attractive to potential applicants.
Many fair visitors are still in their education but those keep the company in mind when it comes to deciding about their career path. The candidates are of course different, depending on the kind of fair. Generally, we know which positions are available to be prepared, if questions about current job opportunities come up.
Our recruiter reveals:
How do I start a conversation with Falkensteiner?
Fair visitors are often shy and keep a safe distance while getting an idea of the different exhibitors. That is why it is important to reach out friendly and open-minded to potential applicants and say hello to them.
Our recruiter has the following tips for fair visitors:
• Trust yourself!
We are there to get to know you, so we are happy about every conversation.
• Think about questions!
Consider before: what is interesting for me, about what topic do I have a specific question.
• First impression counts!
If it is not a spontaneous visit, professional clothing is always a good idea.
• Be prepared!
A printed CV helps to stay in mind of the recruiter.
Do you want to get your own impression of Falkensteiner at a fair?
