Fun and games at Falky Alm

The perfect family holiday requires more than just good food and spacious rooms. Which is why we at Falkensteiner sat down with our youngest guests and our architects, children’s entertainers and an artist to think about what kids and adults enjoy doing the most.

And that’s not all. We also thought about how we could do something completely different. Something that would make a holiday into a really great, unforgettable experience. On one hand, that led to completely new architectural standards and things like animal signs on the doors of the rooms (so that even really little kids can find their rooms), and on the other, it led to an authentic Falky-edutainment world focusing on the hotel’s immediate surroundings: Falky-Almland.

There’s lots to discover in Falky-Almland. Where does milk come from? What is the meaning of water? What do farmers do all day and how is cheese actually made? Our professional and loving childcare programme is dedicated to the topic of the Alpine meadow. This of course involves lots of information and crafting. And also going out into nature to take a closer look at everything. We offer an exciting programme together with partners from the region.

A few of the many activities we offer:

• Visit to a show cheese dairy
• Splashing around on the Aquatrail
• Collecting rocks and painting them lots of different colours
• Fun and games, observing marmots and cows on “Alpine meadow adventure day”
• Skiing at the ski school across from the hotel – registration at the hotel every Saturday during school holidays
• Barbecuing sausages over a fire lit by us during a “fire alarm”, and much more

Every morning starts out in a relaxed and laid-back way for everyone! The lift and the children’s ski school are right at your doorstep. During school holidays, your kids can sign up for ski lessons right at the Hotel Sonnenalpe and can also take the opportunity to borrow ski gear.

And any kids who feel like taking a day off from skiing can of course play, paint, do crafts, eat lunch or simply enjoy the day and listen to a story being read aloud at Falky-Alm. Our childcare staff give parents the chance to go skiing on their own now and then or to spend a few hours of relaxation or romance together in the wellness area.
 
We offer games for you to play on cosy evenings surrounded by your loved ones. Those who are a bit too old for Falky-Land but are still looking for something fun to do can find games and entertainment on the lower floor of Falky-Alm, where table tennis, darts and the like are just waiting to be played by kids and their parents.
