What comes to mind when you think of historical buildings? Everything a bit cramped, maybe a bit musty, too? And definitely a dark, oppressive atmosphere?

At the new Falkensteiner Hotel Palazzo Sitano, that is certainly not the case. The hotel offers the perfect combination of old and new, especially in its 86 rooms and suites. And the result is a mix of modern, linear design and historical, decorative details.

The flooring and furniture are made of exquisite dark wood, the fabrics and lamps are light beige and the bathrooms are in classic white and grey. Stronger shades of brown and red accents add a splash of colour to the decor. As a result, the rooms are light and airy, and some of them even feature attractive ornamental ceiling frescos that pay tribute to the building’s long history.

A number of the rooms offer a quiet, leafy terrace – a small oasis in the midst of this bustling city.

Superior room (approximately 25 sq m):
The Superior Rooms are bigger than the Standard Rooms, with a double bed or two separate beds, locations that face either the street or the courtyard and a French balcony in all of the rooms.

Deluxe room (approximately 26–30 sq m):
A class of their own: extremely spacious, plenty of natural sunlight and an amazing view of Palermo from your balcony!

Junior-Suites (approximately 36–46 sq m):
A real highlight – even more space and tons of light! Separate sleeping and living area with a sofa-bed and a spacious bathroom; some rooms feature a walk-in closet and ceiling frescos.
