Who is Falky?

Falky is the mascot of the Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences.

He is a falcon who loves to travel and is constantly flying between Croatia, Carinthia and South Tyrol to look after “his” Falkensteiner family hotels and visit his friends, the kids staying there. He is also always on the lookout for new adventures to tell you all about in the Falky Post.

Falky was born in South Tyrol and has his nest at the Lido-Ehrenburgerhof, which is where he hatched from his egg. Falky went to the animal school, and he still has lots of friends from back then. That’s also where he learned all about the habitat of his four-legged and feathered friends, and since then his heart has gone out to environmental protection. And he’s pretty much an expert when it comes to nature.

Falky is a true gourmet and he enjoys playing fun roles, like that of a pirate or a rock star. He also takes every chance he gets to dress up. The Falkensteiner family hotels are his home, and that’s probably where you’ll find him if you visit Falky Land.

To help you get to know Falky a bit better, here’s some important information about him!

What Falky likes: travelling, having fun, flying, splashing around, turning the Falkensteiner family hotels upside down, the kids in the Falky Club and his friends from the animal school

What Falky doesn’t like at all: environmental pollution, bad weather for flying and bad food.

Falky’s favourite food: anything that tastes good. Even carrots. South Tyrolean dumplings and ice cream!

And his favourite colour: the colours of the rainbow. Falky’s favourite colour is COLOURFUL!

Falky’s friends are: the funny bear Bernie Strongbear, the animals of the forest, his schoolmates and all of the kids in the Falky Club!

Dress-up Falky

Now there’s also a Falky for you to colour in and to dress up in various costumes!

It couldn’t be easier: Ask someone in your family to help you print out the dress-up Falky and glue it to a stiff piece of cardboard. Falky’s tip: If you use a glue stick, it’s easier to glue on the paper without getting any ripples. Then cut out the dress-up Falky and you’re all ready to go.

Choose one of the costumes shown – forester Falky, rock star Falky or pirate Falky – print out the PDF and colour in the costume. You can see what my forester costume really looks like. In camouflage, of course, so I blend in better with the forest.

But there are no limits to your imagination! Simply colour away to your heart’s content! When you’re done, cut the costume out carefully along the black lines.

But be careful: Don’t cut off the white tabs. You can fold them over later to make

sure that dress-up Falky keeps his costume on.
